Mac Chase is a Baltimore-based independent printmaker and illustrator working primarily in pen and ink, as well as oil-based printmaking processes. His practice centers on repetition, rhythm and flow, using personal experience and emotion to explore themes of hope and loss, terror and awe, and the ruminating and ephemeral natures of the mind and body
He is currently pursuing a BFA in Print Media and Visual Arts at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and anticipates graduating in May 2027.
Inspired by the teachings of Lynda Barry and Ivan Brunetti, Mac hopes to work with local institutions to bring accessible art programming to both children and adults alike. Art saves lives and opens the mind to seeing the world in a new light, and anyone can be an artist.
